Note that the installation from 2 CDs has an extra step in which the original WIM is reconstructed locally. This requires some extra 900 Mb of space on the target partition.

This installation is valid until May 31st, 2007 if the timebomb is not removed. Up to the present moment I did not find a suitable timebomb remover. The serial validation engine should be available until January 2008 or so.
Note that during setup the glass effect is disabled to speed up installation. After Vista is installed, change the theme back to AERO using Desktop Personalization. The default theme chosen is AERO Basic.
