      Re: سانشيرو

Lastly I can't write arabic coz my PC, there's problem when i writes arabic, and the most important that this problem is still bother me really, to now, sorry for my english write.
i will answer you as before & i hope to be useful with you.

I have watched Plowres Sanshiro 18 years ago or maybe more in Arabic when it was released
by Abu-Khamseen’s company in Kuwait and dubbed by fine actors at that time.
Too bad the company doesn’t exist now at least we wouldn’t have to watch the
crap edited by the all the Arabian companies now days (Nido Cup for Captain
      Tsubasa and all that crap).

Ehhh, the 80s and early 90s were the golden days for anime in Arabian
      countries. Well, whatever.

I have to say that the series was very nice to watch in Japanese again.

The story is about Sanshiro Sugata and his plawres fighter Jumaro whom they
encounter many opponents, challenges and conspiracies to win the world
championship in Plawres-wrestling and more important fulfilling Sanshiro’s
father ultimate wish. That’s to use the plawres technology to become an aid
      to humans in their life.

The story is plain simple and starts to evolve in Eps 26 (out of 37). Too
bad that the last 11 Eps. weren’t released in the Arabic version as that
      they were never dubbed.

For an 80 show the drawing and the animation is quite nice although you to
notice some drawing errors and repeated scenes through the series. Also,
the series features a character from Osamu Dezaki’s Golgo 13…none other than
Golgo 13 himself. Although the character may not look 100% like him and his
name wasn’t even mentioned but since he looks 90% like G13 and his a
professional assassin that started to use Plawres Fighters to aid him in his
missions……that’s G13 introduced to the series with a twist or at least
someone who was intended to look like him

      The R2 DVD set
      ----------------------

The quality is what you can expect for a 1983 show ported to DVDs more or
less it is very good; the audio is Mono (not Dolby Digital) and no extras
except for the 1st disc, which has 2 trailers for the DVD set. Both have the
OP song (PMP Fight) in their background but the 2nd trailer has the full
version of the song with scenes from the series (more like a music video).

There are 2 features in the each disc one enables you to play the eps one
after another without going through the OP, ED and the preview for the next
Eps (called story). And another one plays the previews of the Eps one after
another (called Trailers). It’s not that much of a thing but it’s cool when
you want t o watch the Eps or the previews and don’t feel like pressing the
NEXT button in your DVD remote controller. ;p

The jackets! Absolutely MARVILOUS and the struck box’s as well which has 2
beautifully drawn pictures: one by Hirotoshi Sano, on the right side. And
another by Mutsumi Inomata, on the left side. The back of the struck box
has a picture of Jumaro with series logo.

The series is 37 Eps divided into 6 DVDs with the following sequence:

Volume 1: Eps 1,2 + 2 special trailers for the series.
      Volume 2: Eps 3-9
      Volume 3: Eps 10-16
      Volume 4: Eps 17-23
      Volume 5: Eps 24-30
      Volume 6: Eps 31-37

So for those who watched the series in Arabic and don’t feel like watching
it all over again, you can get the last 2 volumes since you need to watch
Eps 27-37. However, the series is only available as a Limited Edition Box
Set now so you will have to wait for the individual volumes to come out (no
release date given for them yet) that goes also if you don’t want the
      expensive Box set.

Also, the R2 Box set comes with a model for Jomaro (or Jumaru) which is very
nice if you can do assembling, gluing, and painting else you’ll just keep it
in it’s box like some guys i know :P lucky for them that a friend of them is an expert in
these stuffs so he gave them the model to finish it for them although he
      charged them for it

Humm, what else….SOOODA the seiyuu ! how could I forget such an important
thing, some where taken from Hitoshi-san’s seiyuu database and the rest were
according to my small background in seiyuu ^_^*:

      Aya: Mita Yuuko
Female Student, Receptionist, Girl: Nakajima Chisato
      Asano Maki:Tamagawa Sakiko
Anri {Episode 12}, Maashu: Tsuru Hiromi
      Bill Thomas:Kamiya Akira
      Ishida Katsutoshi: Suzuoki Hirotaka
      Fubuki Kyouko: Andou Arisa
      Narita Shinogu: Furuya Tohru
      [Debut] Sugata Machiko: Honda Chieko
      Shiela Misty: Inoue You
      Kurozaki Gengou: Watanabe Takeshi
      Shinji: Shiozawa Kaneto
      Shinji’s Mother: Yoshida Rihoko

An impressive seiyuu list isn’t it ^_^ especially for the supporting
characters which feature: Akira Kamiya (Ryo:City Hunter), Hirotaka Suzoki
(Saito: Rurouni Kenshin), Hiromi Tsuru (Madoka:Kimgure Orange Road), Tohro
Furaya (Amuro Rei:Gundam), You Inuoe (Sayla:Gundam), Kaneto Shiozawa
(D:Vampire Hunter D) and Chieko Honda (Sniper Wolf: Metal Gear Solid) in her
      debut role ^_^

Finally, the soundtrack is one of my favorite classics especially for the
BGM which are mostly 80s style (the good old days) and couple of them are
Jazz. The soundtrack is available in a 2 CDs set which contains the
OP,ED,BGM on the first CD ,while, the 2nd CD is mainly a drama CD which
features 1 Eps (completely new one) and Eps.6 from the TV series (Cherry
Bomber’s Eps) with same OP and ED and of course BGM.

Man ! with all those classic anime coming out on DVD in Japan I surly can
make a long list that will keep me busy for months and kill my budget for
the entire year ;p the 3 titles that I want the most are: Iga No Kabamaru,
Grendizer, and Arabian Nights: The Adventure of Sinbad. My next stop would
be although I won’t be getting them since the 2nd Mazinger Z Box is due on
Feb. 25th 2003. Which will give me some time to save for them

Take care everyone and whenever the name of the series Plawres Sanshiro
comes to your mind just remember: JOMARO….SET UP.

sorry really for my english writting
