Quatre sighed, slowly climbing the stairs. Tomorrow he would continue his search for his friend, but at the moment he needed
sleep. As he stepped off the top step, he thought he heard one of the floorboards in the hallway creaking.

“Hello? Is someone there?” Quatre asked, cautiously stepping into the hallway that led to the bedrooms.

There was no answer.

Something seemed off. There was definitely something wrong here. He could feel it, like a quality that hung ominously in the
air around him. “Hello?” He repeated, stopping and staring into the darkness that surrounded him. He strained his ears,
listening for any sound, squinting his eyes in the hope of catching sight of some movement.
