When someone slaps Capcom back into it's senses. Capcom don't seem interested in fighting games anymore so the chances of that are 1%, still there's SvC Card Fighters for the DS (Yay!)

see there's this slight problem in SNK and Capcom's throats in japan, it's called Arc System Works no matter how u look at it, Arc manages to squeeze an unimganible game systems and throw them in together with reasonable balancing, add a bit of hard hitting HEavy Metal Tunes, Rock and Classic anime refrences here and there, hi res sprites(fact: the highest res sprites in a 2D fighting game to date, the game looks sweet with Progressive scanning on), some of the most well know voice actors in the industry to give it an anime feel acommpanied by the fact that Daisuke's art kicks major ass(yet under appreciated), a story so good you'll wish all fighting games had stories like this and the Orochi saga, add an easy to learn + takes years to master gameplay with almost every character having his own gameplay system(some can run, some can dash, some can parry, some can triple jump) throw in some weapons ALA Samurai Shodown and voila u got the future of 2D fighting called the Guilty Gear series


no, i'm not a guilty gear fanboy as some might think, im a fighting game fan but this doesnt change the fact that SNK or Capcom have to do something groundbreaking to surpass Guilty Gear, and i think that's what Capcom is doing atm, Cap Vs SNK 2 was enourmous, a really huge game with a ton of depth held back by the fact that there were 3 cheap characters abused in tourneys(Blanka, sagat, cammy) if capcom is gonna surpass Guilty Gear or even itself in CAP Vs SNK 2, they'll have to bring out something revoultionary

it just occured to me, that reason we're not seeing any SF4 footage around is because of the fact that Arc unleashed Hokuto No Ken which is basically Guilty Gear with HNK characters =_= oh well

at least SNK are keeping us busy with thier games and they aren't afraid of the GG pehnomenon

again i announce that im not dissing SNK or Capcom im just stating an opinion <,<
