انطباعات جريج كاسافن بعد انهاءه للعبة,وهو من سيقوم بمراجعتها قريبا الله يستر
وأضاف آندرو بارك قائلا:I finished the game last night--full review coming soon. In short: The game is real good.
I'm going to say that the difficulty is "hard" as opposed to medium, but it's far from being anywhere near the hardest game I've ever played (or finished). Nightshade, which I reviewed recently, is much, much harder, as is last year's Shinobi, as is something like the Xbox version of Dead to Rights. The thing about Ninja Gaiden's difficulty is that, for the most part, it's quite fair. If a boss is repeatedly kicking your butt (many of them initially will do so), it's probably because you haven't quite figured out his pattern or weakness yet. Also, since the game has shops in it from which you can buy healing potions, when in doubt you can run around beating up bad guys for their "money", and then stock up on healing items to get you through the tough parts.
The game is definitely harder than average, and at one or two points, I did get stumped for a while, almost (but not quite) to the point of frustration. But I never felt that the difficulty was unreasonable or unfair. Ironically, I probably had more trouble in the early levels of the game than in the later ones, just because it can take some time to master the nuances of the controls. For instance, Ryu's defensive capabilities are much better than you'd expect--enemies hit fast and hard from all directions, but you can block almost everything by holding down the left trigger. Some of the special moves you later learn are also very powerful and useful. A lot of the fun comes from figuring out which sorts of tactics work best for you.
"You'll find out about "how good" Ninja Gaiden is in our full review. And that's coming soon."
Nintendo is back
They're both REAL GOOD
it's real good.
The game has no loading times at all, not even when you first turn it on. You see the Nintendo splash screen, the Retro Studios splash screen, and then the title screen. From there, you get started right away, and the game never, ever breaks you out of the experience at any point from there on (well, there are a few very short noninteractive cutscenes). The big, seamless world of the game is really detailed and really impressive. This is easily one of the most atmospheric games to date, which sounds like a bold claim, but when you play the game you'll see why it's not a stretch at all. Those who like PC games like System Shock 2 will really appreciate the detail in all the environments, and the somewhat deliberate pace. You "investigate" the world of the game, rather than just blast your way through. Some of the puzzle design is quite inventive, the jumping doesn't suck, and the action is good.
The designers did an incredible job of making it play just like Super Metroid, but in 3D. If anything, some of the Metroid conventions are so prevalent (respawning enemies, lots of jumping, backtracking through old areas using new abilities) that it'll hold the game back a bit with those who aren't familiar with the series. But you'd have to go out of your way not to like this game. It's just very well made.
As for Metroid Fusion, the GBA game, it's great--but really short. Only about five hours, and the linear story limits replay value

Ninjas Go Live
Master Ninja Tournament details revealed!
this unique tournament is a competition of scores rather than a head-to-head battle of ninja versus ninja. Gamers who have beaten Ninja Gaiden at least once will be able to register and compete in any or all three regional rounds, which kick off at E3 2004 and run throughout the summer. Special Gaiden trial levels were created specifically for the tournament and will be available only through Xbox Live.
The top three players in each region for each round will advance to the regional playoffs to compete against one another across three trial missions. Win the regional playoffs and it's off to the World Master Ninja Finals to be held this September at X04 in Europe.
