- It will be released for PS2 in the USA
- It was originally planned to be released in Japan on the Dreamcast - Possibly to be later ported over to the PS2. But due to the failure of Sega's console in Japan its likely that it'll skip the Dreamcast altogether
- The plot takes place after Eternal Blue
- In an interview with RPGfan Victor Ireland stated: "I'll say one thing about Lunar 3. It's coming sooner than people expect but not in the manner that people think."
- This is gonna be big...
Rumours:
Rumour has it that the game has been in production since about '96. However, even if this is so, it would have got not much further than basic planning stages. The real production most likely started around 1999.
Victor also said "It will be the first truly new Lunar engine since 1995, and I people will be amazed by the evolution." - this suggests a new ingame graphical style, possibly affecting background scenery more than the actual characters. More eye-candy

can't really tell you anything about the game except that it's being done, and is for PS2," Ireland said in the interview. "Oh yeah, I can say that it will blow people away, being the first completely "new" Lunar designed from scratch since 1995. The way Game Arts is making use of the new technology will amaze people."
might be bad new ?:
Being absolute perfectionists and masters of their craft, GameArts does not let anything slip out the door that isn't done. That very fact may well push a Lunar 3 release for PS2 into the year 2003 or possibly 2004 depending on many scenarios.
شوفوا وش قالو عنها هاهاهاها مساكين اللي مالعبوها للحين
However, Lunar fans are likely to wait without complaint. Well... without much complaint at any rate. Since the series debuted on Sega CD back in the waning days of the Genesis' spendy add-on, gamers wealthy enough to afford it have professed the game's superiority over all other RPGs... even Square's Final Fantasy series installments that were coming out at the same time.
In summer 1999, Working Designs brought Lunar to a wider audience by giving the first Lunar title, Lunar: The Silver Star Story, a special re-working and re-packaging for PlayStation. The game sold better than any Working Designs title ever released, and was the second-best selling RPG on PSX that year, trailing only Final Fantasy VIII.
