Although I don’t know either how to say best friend accurately, I have a suggestion

Anata wa (watashi no)ichiban sukina tomodachi desu

Where ichiban means litterally number one, but japanese use it for superlatives

"And sukina is the adjective that means " liked

^^ That would be translated then in : your are the friend whom I like the most

There is an adjectif that you’ll pretty sure find in every single anime : "taisetsuna" which means " precious","important". Usually, you'll "find it coupled with "mamoru" the verb that means "to preotect

Taisetsuna hito will be very likely a strong way in the mouth of a Japanese to express his feelings about a person. In the anime, of course, they overdo things by saying

Taisetsuna hito wo zettai mamoru

I will definitely protect my beloved ones

.And you are right, it means I wish to go to malayisia

The problem with « tai » itself is that you find it with a desperating number of words

I think Toki chans’s guess on itai might be the closest one

Toki chan, how do you like the punctuation marks put at the beginning of your sentence

I mean Arimasen itself means laa youjad and yoroshiku means "at your service" or "be kind with me", something like "nice to meet you" in english

? Does anyone have any other idea about that

Yamazaki Hii ^^ Walla I dont know if "Tai" means Virus...I'm nort that smart in Japanese to know these kind of words ^^ bs Yemkin since they always Add "O:" and "U" in the english common words...perhaps Virus in Japanese is "Virusu"

I checked on a dictionnary and it turned out to be right

So tai means also versus ^^;

Actually I was wondering if there was some group that translated Anime directly from Japanese

I would as well try to translate from english but second time translation couldn't be possibly as exciting as the first one

I mean I never tried but really would like to give it a shot

I read on the forum that some people are looking for scripts for Conan Movie 7

? Does it mean that there is no english translation yet

That's the kind of project I'd like to go in

Actually, I've had the chance to take a course of japanese (though a very light one sigh) two years ago
I thought that the language can be learned pretty fast, but I came to realize that when you didn't have that much of oportunities to practice, your knowledge remains theoretical, and beside a few readied expressions, your mind goes very easily blank when hearing ^^ a nihongo sentence
Anyway, I'm not giving this up especially after discovering that much interest here about the language and anime


Conan Movie 7 was just an exemple though, the problem with that smart boy is that at the very end he delivers the case solution and this is not very easy I think to follow
As for the subs propgram, I think I can find help on the net
But first I'll have to find a good and easy anime to sub
This is the difficult part as everything is already taken by anime fanatics from all over the world

And your absloutly right, Learning Nihongo is pretty fun, But this all will goes with the wind if you don't practice it ^^ this exactly what is happening with me, I used to have Nihonjin sensei, but now since its been long time without speaking and practicing it.....I forgot So many things * Teaaaaaaaaarz* U___U; Demo, I'm going to study more and more couse simply I adore this language ^^

There is a trick that help remembering vocabulary in any language you want : song lyrics
As for Japanese www.animelyrics.com has a huge database of song lyrics
Believe me, it helps a lot, especially when you take your time to compare the romaji lyrics to their english translations (which are not always accirate but oh well) on the same page
You can help yourself with the dictionnary when you want to see each word meaning so that you don't get puzzled by the translation
