Dear all
From when can I get the wine program ?

1 if I have to download it so I have to do that via windows then I have to burn it or can I directly to Linux
2 How to install wine?
3 after installing I need to use softwares for windows which need crack where and how can I put the crack.

4 is that true that Ubuntu doesn’t recognize the deb file?

How we can install the skype if you know that command doesn’t work in Ubuntu sudo apt-get install skype_debian-1.3.0.53-1_i386.deb

ماله داعي تنزله من الانترنت عن طريق الويندوز وتنسخه على سيدي على قولتك، حط Repository الـ wine
واكتب الامر

sudo apt-get install wine

2 How to install wine?

اذا كانت الحزمة عندك على سطح المكتب منزلها كذا، عطها الامر

dpkg -i wine.deb

طبعاً اسم الحزمة مو wine بالضبط، لكن هذا مثال تقريبي، او اضغط double click على حزمة الـ Wine اللي نزلته ( الافضل انك تحملها عن طريق الـ apt-get )

شلون Ubuntu ما يتعرف على deb files وهو مبني اساساً على الـDebian ؟!!!

تقدر تضغط double click وتركبها، او تكتب الامر التالي:

dpkg -i skype_debian-1.3.0.53-1_i386.deb

1 The Ubunto 7.04 did not recognize my modem and never saw it! my modem is old at home its US robotic sposster (i think)

Regard the above question where i have to write that command

If it's Dial UP modem, then I recommend using an external Modem, because most of external modems are compatible with new Linux kernels.
