لم استطع ان اعرف المودم في الريدهات 8

اخواني ارجو المساعدة في تعريف المودم على DELL latitide c840

Is it a PCI MODEM or a PCMCIA?

I have a Latitude CPx J650 and it is working fine with a Xircom PCMCIA MODEM/NIC on RH 8

It is PCI modem I think.....the problim is that it is my first time with linux and I don't know how to configure any hard ware in the system

the modem is PCTEL 230WT V.92 MDC Modem

please help me or i am going to back to windows 2000.....

Please give us more information regarding the distribution , are you using Redhat, Mandrake or something else?! and which version.
The more information we have, the more fast you get response

the distribution is redhat 8.0

OOps, I'm sorry, I just figured out the distributiton was mentioned before :# anyhow, umm I'm sorry I can't help, maybe Loner or Unixy or someone else!
