واحد فاهم يشرح لي اعدادت الاتصال بس حبه حبه والله النظام صعب واجد

انا عندي ريد هات 9 بس الاتصال اللي موبتمام يمكن لاني بالسعوديه

مافيها خدمه ولا من مزود الخدمه اللي انا مشترك فيها نسمه البطيئه هههه

معليش اذا تعبتكم معاي بس والله ودي فيه عجبني ولازم اتعلمه

ابدأ مع mandrake 9.0 لأنه أسهل بكثير

اتكلم عن الماندريك 9

اذا انصلت عن طريق Gnome يعطيني هالرساله

اما اذا اتصلت عن طريق kppp

يعطيني الرساله :

وبعد ما اضغط الديتيل تجين هالرساله

Dear ErrorMsg,

It is not a problem with the MODEM as we are using an EXTERNAL SERIAL MODEM and I'm having the same problem, plus nada_hppy5 is saying that she tried Mandy 8,9 and Redhat 7 and 8 in a previous post.
I think the problem is from the Telephone company (STC) as I have tried once from another phone extension (mogassam) and it worked like a rocket!. Which means some of the users in Saudi Arabia are having this problem and the others are NOT having this problem. But I'm stil not 100% sure, so don't take my word on that.

How can you be so sure? Do you know what kind of servers they are using? what are the CHAP settings and all related stuff?.

Which ISP does give you support for Linux clients? I never heard of any? What ISP are you using by the way?

ان اللي اعنيه مو بشركه الاتصالات ...........اللي اقصده الشركات اللي تقدم خدمات الاتصال بلانترنت مثل ...nesma awalnet,alsabakah

وبعد اللي يبغي اعدادات الاتصال للينكس للمشترك بنسمه ما عندي مانع

I didn't mean STC either, I was asking about your ISP? what is the name of the ISP? I assume it is Nesma!, but do they really give Linux Support for users?!!!

ومن ناحية موضوعك اللي تستفسر عنه:

اتصلت عليهم عن اذا فيه اعدادت خاصه للينكس

راحوا وارسلو لي اعدادات الاتصال بلينكس علي كل حال مافي شي زايد

ولاعدات موجوده عندي اذا تبغاها ما في مانع

Salam
I am contributing now from a Mandrake 9.0 platform. This is my first time to be able to connect from this box. I have an other Linux Box at home equipped with Redhat 7.3 (both computers are located at home). For quite a bit of time, I was wondering why I was not able to login from the mandrake box while there was no problem logging from the RedHat Box.
After reading some contributions from other fellows, I began suspecting STC. Actaully I had two telephone lines at home. The RedHat Box is connected to a 496 exchane, while the Mandrake Box is connected to a 208 exchange.
Only this evining I connected the Mandrake Box to the 496 exchange. Beleive it or not, my machine logged in without any changes to the configuration. The only thing I changed is the telephone line.
I am now dead sure that STC is playing a major roll in the difficulties subscribers are facing.
So, I suggest that before you do anything, just try your machine on another telephone exchange and see if you succeed to login.
