VMWARE & Mandrake 10

الاخوة الاعزاء
انا اعاني من مشكلة تعريف ال VMWARE مع ماندرؤيك 10
القصة انه عند الوصول إلى تعريف Header للكرنل ويعد ان اضع المسار الصحيح لا يرضى بالتعرف علي الهيدر
هل عن احد منكم فكرة وحل
وهذا ما يحصل في الكونسول:

kernel (version 2.4.25-1mt). Even if the module were to compile successfully,
it would not load into the running kernel.

What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running
kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include] /usr/include/linux

The path "/usr/include/linux" is an existing directory, but it does not contain
at least one of these directories "linux", "asm", "net" as expected.

اعمل التعليمات التالية وانسخ نتيحة كل امر هنا لكي استطيع مساعدتك

1) uname -a

2) ls /usr/src

3) rpm -q kernel

هذه هي النتائج التي حصلت عليها
1) uname -a
[samir@localhost samir]$ uname -a
Linux localhost 2.4.25-2mdk #1 Tue Mar 2 07:39:08 CET 2004 i686 unknown unknown GNU/Linux


2)ls /usr/src
[samir@localhost samir]$ ls /usr/src
linux@ linux-2.6.3-4mdk/ RPM/

3) rpm -q kernel
[samir@localhost samir]$ rpm -q kernel
package kernel is not installed

جرب الحل التالي

VMWare virtual machine:
Note: I don't know if this is the correct way. This works atleast with VMware Workstation 4.0.0 build-4460. You can check your version with:

# vmware -v

Another note: This HowTo assumes that you have VMWare Workstation already installed, I don't know how it works if you don't have it installed before the kernel upgrade from 2.4 to 2.6.

1. Backup any important data.
Backup your important data.

2. Download the patch
You should check the patch site for new releases.
The releases are named vmware-any-any-update*.tar.gz. Now you can download the patch:

# wget http://ftp.cvut.cz/vmware/vmware-any...pdate43.tar.gz
...

3. Unpack the package.
Now you need to unpack the tar archive:

# tar xzvf vmware-any-any-update43.tar.gz
# cd vmware-any-any-update43

4. Run the installation script.
Now you need to become root and run runme.pl:

# ./runme.pl

I will not describe the installation process this time either.
Note: If the installation fails for some reason, try to read the readme. The readme wont provide much information about the errors, but the files of the site. If you have issues with some features with VMWare then you should read the documents at VMWare official homepage

Final note: Remember that I can't promise that this will work perfectly for you, and I can't provide any kind of warranty. Use this document at your own risk. All I can say is that it worked for me.

جربت ولم تنفع لان الكرنل حق الماندريك 10 هو 2.6.3 ولكن ال VMWARE يدعم كرنل 2.4×
اذا كان يوجد طريقة ثانية الرجاء المساعدة
ولكم الشكر

اعتقد ان الماندراك لديه الكرنل 2.4 و 2.6

حاول اختيار القديمة

انا عندي الكرنل 2.4 تحت الاسم linux في قائمة البوت والكرنل 2.6 تحت مسمى 263

جرب واخبرنا بالنتيجة

جربت ياطويل العمر ولم تفلح الطريقة
حيث ان النتورك وخلافه مبني على كرنيل 263 بنما الكرنيل 24 لايتضمن كامل هيكلية ماندريك 10 وعليه تخرج لك رسالة خطأ ولا ينفع الامر نهائياً
