problem with sound

suddnly my computer speaker didnt worked and i changed the speaker but the computer didnt find new hardware and it didnt work either
all media files stop working and some of them are work but without any sound
please help

what about the driver

is ur sound card buld-in or no ? if it's

then see from the BIOS if the sound card enable

if isn't try to download the new sound driver from the web site

im waiting ur answer for what happen

it seem that i have problem with multimedia audio control because when i try to reinstall it a masseage appear say that i dont have the nessacry software

As suman's said

1st check whether it is enabled or not from the BIOS

- try to remove the old one, then install the drivers
- and if u have WindowsXP SP2 - check about the new drivers from the produced company
