- Some of Capcom's goals for "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" are to maximize depth and minimize complexity, return to the roots and core mechanics of fighting games and to make the best fighting games accessible to everyone.
- The technology that powers "Resident Evil 5" and "Lost Planet 2" now powers "MvC3." This tech, MT Framework, uses powerful processers to unite fighting games with Marvel characters and visuals. While tech is very important, Capcom has also enlisted key staff members from past "Vs." fighting games to work on "MvC3," ensuring it will be as amazing as fans expect it to be.
- "We worked with Marvel to bring [
Wolverine] towards what he looks like in the comics," Killian said, when discussing Wolverine's updated look as seen in the trailer. "A lot of the touches are specifically comic book related. In-game events are keyed towards invoking those comic book moments."
- While the fighting system is still taking shape, the actual battles in "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" remain in traditional 2D.
- "It's going to play more like 'Street Fighter IV' in the sense that it will be a 2D playing field, [but] character models and graphics will be rendered in 3D."
-According to Niitsuma-san, there will be over 30 fighters in the game.
- And when asked about the question of more costumes, Niitsuma-san had this to say. "Instead of spending our time making multiple costumes, we're spending our time making more characters. Our goal is to put as many characters in the game as possible. If we can make more costumes, we will. You'd rather have more characters, than more costumes, right?"
