Open Paint Shop Pro 7. Click 'new image'. It can be any size. Mine will be 255 × 255. Background color is
white. Click the 'freehand' tool. http://unknown.hakkai.net/tutorial/crystaltut/freehand.jpg Make sure in the 'tool options' it's point to point, feather is 0, and antialias is checked. Begin making long or short 'spikes' where ever you want them to

When you are finished making spikes and you have connected where you started and ended, right-click on your image. It should look something like below.

Now, click 'flood fill'. http://unknown.hakkai.net/tutorial/crystaltut/floodfill.jpg Choose the color you would like to use and fill in the form you made. Now click 'freehand' again and right-click on the form. The dotted lines will disappear. Now you should something like the image below.

There you go! You have your very own crystal to use.

.::.:. Making Grids .:.::.

1. Pick a random image, I chose this one below (from here).

2. Than open a new blank document. (File >> New or Ctrl + N). Height: 5, Width: 5, Background: Transparent.
Note: The height and the width controls the size of the grid, if this is your first time, you might want to play around with it, just to have an idea.

3. Now zoom in and draw 2 lines with the pencil, like shown below. I used black as a sample.

4. Now go back to the first image and click on the 'Flood Fill' icon http://unknown.hakkai.net/tutorial/floodfill.jpg than click on the 'Pattern' icon from the color bar, like showed below.

5. Than click once on the pattern box you just have selected http://unknown.hakkai.net/tutorial/patternbox.jpg ). Now you should see a window pops up. Click on the drop down menu an you should see this.

6. Select the second item (the grid one, red arrow). And click 'OK'.

7. Now fill the image with the grids!
Note: For the advanced users you can change the 'Opacity' and/or the 'Blend Mode' of the grids. My advice, if you create a new transparent layer above the image than fill you can blend it even better.

.::.:.Make/Save Brushes.:.::.

First you need a image of course

And it's a little too big to make a brush from as you see, so resize it like it's shown here. Through Image >> resize, it's important to select the box of maintain aspect (the red arrow).

Then you set the color to black/white through colors >> gray scale, once you have done that select the whole image (by hold in Ctr+a or selections >> select all). The image should look like this below:

Note: If you don't, just click on this button: http://unknown.hakkai.net/tutorial/button2.jpg Then you click on custom and you'll see another window pop up, click on create and tada! you have just made a new brush!!! (you can find the brush all the way down, do don't panic if you don't see the brush).

Now you have a new brush, the question is how you going to save it, well here is the answer. Choose the brush you just made and click on edit paths like here:

Then you should see another window pop up like here:

Set everything like it's shown here, and your brush is saved under the name Ubrush.Jbr and you can find it at your brush folder, if you are going to make a new brush, it will saved automatically in the same file. After you made all the brushes for one set, than you can rename the file, otherwise there will be some problems. Make sure that every file end with .Jbr or .jbr

1. Open a new image with white background, sized 255x255 pixel.

2. Click on the insert text button. Set everything as shown below.

3. Now type anything in CAPITAL letter, I chose letter 'K', than click ok to insert. You should see something like this.

4. Now hover your mouse over the part of letter 'k' that's inside the image. You'll see your cursor turn into a 'move' cursor (4 side pointed). Now move the letter anywhere u like and press control + d when you're finished. I set mine as shown below

Congratulations, you know our secret. You can test with every letter in the alphabet and try to put it in the different positions every time.
