إنما عن الترجمة العسكرية ، فلا يوجد فرق أو إنما القاموس الذي لدي ليس صحيحآ

First of all, let me Thank you for this Great topic
it`s a shame that we didn`t see alot of members reply to this important topic. but most of them are busy with their exams so i don`t blame them

i`m really interested in learning the basics of translation

i think the most important thing the translator must focus on is the vocabulary. and just like you mentioned, one word could mean alot of things

وفي شي ثاني اعتقد انه مهم ألا وهو طريقة الترجمة واللي حضرتك تكلمت عنها

يعني انا مثلا شفت فلم قالت احدى الممثلات فيه ewwww " للدلالة على القرف "
يعني مو معقولة راح أكتب في الترجمة كلمة "ايووو" :09: المفروض اكتب "يا للقرف" مثلا ً

وطبعا ً المترجم الشاطر هو اللي يقدر يوصل المعنى بأقل عدد من الكلمات دون الترجمة الحرفية



وهذا ينقلنا إلى قضية ثانية أحب استفسر عنها......



لما أترجم جملة هل يجب علي استخدام كلمات كبيرة "غير مفهومة عند بعض الناس" لمجرد انها قصيرة؟ أم يجب علي في هذي الحالة البحث عن كلمات أخرى طويلة؟

يعني مثلا....
I detest you
ترجمتها:
أنا أبغضك (أبغضك = كلمة واحدة ولكن لن يفهمها بعض الناس)
أو
انا أكرهك كرها ً شديدا ً (أكرهك كرها ً شديدا ً = 3 كلمات وكل الناس يفهمونها)

فهل المهم البحث عن كلمات مختصرة للترجمة "رغم احتمالية عدم فهم بعض الناس لها" أم المهم توصيل المعنى ليفهمه كل الناس مهما كان عدد الكلمات؟؟؟

من زمااااااااااااان ما شاركت في منتدى المنتدى واليوم رجعت لقسم اللغة الإنجليزية مباشرة ..

أعجبني هذا الموضوع رغم إني لا أزال مصر على أن الترجمة هي عملية تدريب متواصلة، فهي ليست شيئا محسوسا يمكن أن يتعلمه المرء من درس أو اثنين...

أنا طالب جامعي متخصص في الترجمة وفي سنتي الرابعة، درست الكثير في نظريات الترجمة ولكنها لم تفدني بقدر الإفادة التي حصلت عليها من خلال ترجماتي مالتواصلة ونشري لهذه الترجمات في الصحف والمجلات..

وسيسعدني هنا أن أدعوكم للمشاركة في منتدى الترجمة، وأعرف أن الدعاية لمنتديات أخرى ممنوع هنا لكن هذا المنتدى هو منتدى أكاديمي بحت متخصص في الترجمة..

Toota, thanks for your post. I agree with you that the most important in translation is to convey the message rather than focusing on the lexical items. The more you use easy words, the more you get understood. You are right. Keep it up.

مثال :

1- الأبقار تدر علينا الألبان

2- الترجمة نقل للمعانى
