Nice topic, I've been looking for one like these in many forums.
Anyway, I know some proverbs, here's what I remeber:

Or something like that :P

Death is but a moment that seperates Life from Eternity
Life is the time in which the vassel known as the body succumbs to the commands of the Soul
Eternity is where the Soul joys in the vast groves of Eden or moans from the blazing flames of the Inferno
Unlike the body, the Soul is afraid; the body knows it has an end, but the Soul fears it's end
For it knows nought whether it will end in pleasure or despair
Lo, Man fears death when it is but a moment
