i just finished my exams and passed by the montada forum and i really liked ur topic, i think we need such serious topics in here, & i also found all the information that u said about translation are new and usefull...
actually i love translation but its not my major

القاعدة التاسعة :

اللغة العربية تميل إلى التكرار أحياناً

مثال:
1- هذا الطالب طالب مجتهد.
This student is hard working.

ملحظ / لا يجوز تكرار كلمة (student) مرتين فى الجملة الإنكليزية فالتكرار مقبول و جائز فى اللغة العربية
لا الإنكليزية .

You cannot translate the above mentioned sentence into :

* This student is a hard working student.

The asterisk refers to a wrong sentence.

مثال :

ترجم الجملة الآتية إلى اللغة الإنكليزية :.......

إن الأحداث التي تمت مؤخراً في العراق أحداث ذات أهمية كبيرة و عميقة.

this is my translation

the events that happened lately in Iraq is very important and deep

i'm not sure about the word "deep"but i'm waiting to know the right word

The adjective deep is suitable but you did a serious mistake. I will not tell you about it. I want you to try to find it out by yourself.

OR
the events that happened recently in Iraq r of a very important and profound significance

im not sure about the underlined words
