Nintendo releases the Memory Card 251 for the GameCube in North America.

Nintendo has released its Memory Card 251 for the GameCube. The black memory card will hold more than four times as much information as the gray Memory Card 59. The Memory Card 251 will retail for $19.99, and the Memory Card 59 will now retail at a reduced price of $9.99.
