Parn: The hero. The son of the knight, Tessius, who gave his life for his king and country. His father, though a hero, died in disgrace, since he had to breach honor to succeed. Parn also hopes to serve King Fahn by protecting Lodoss from the Marmo invasion.
Deedlit:A high-elf shaman. Loves Parn and journeys with him. Has eternal life and can summon elemental spirits to do her bidding.
Etoh:A priest of Falis, god of light. Childhood friend and ally of Parn. Can cast a variety of healing and protective spells by using his faith.
Slayn:A skilled mage who lives in the same town as Parn. An old friend of Ghim. Can channel mana to cast offensive and defensive spells.
Ghim:A dwarven warrior. Is ferocious in battle with his huge axe. Is on a quest to find his friend Neese's daughter, Leylia. Joins Parn when their quests cross paths.
Woodchuck: A thief who joins the band on the way. Has little chance to develop as a character, since Karla steals his body.
Karla, The Grey Witch: An ancient sorceress who transferred her soul into a circlet when her kingdom was destroyed. She nows strives to watch over Lodoss and take any means to ensure that no one group gains to much power over the others. Inhabits Leylia's body, but steals Woodchuck's when Ghim frees Leylia.
Wort: One of the six ancient heroes. A nearly omniscient sage.
King Fahn:Another of the six ancient heroes. Ruler of the kingdom of Valis. Prepares to defend his country against the Marmo invasion.
Emperor Beld: Another of the six great heroes. This onetime friend of Fahn now seeks to unite all of Lodoss under his rule. He hails from the dark island of Marmo, south of Lodoss.
Sir Ashram:THE COOLEST! This is Beld's right-hand man and commander of the Marmo army. Ashram is a man of duty and honor who strives to carry out Beld's dream after he is killed.
Pirotess:A female dark elf. Has an unrequited love for Ashram, which automatically makes her THE SECOND COOLEST!
Wagnard:Beld's royal mage. Secretly plots to resurrect Kardis, the goddess of destruction. Which really pisses Ashram off.....
Neese: One of the six heroes. Mother of Leylia and old friend of Ghim. High-Priestess of Marfa, goddess of creation.
Leyliariestess of Marfa. Possessed by Karla.
King Kashue: The king of the desert kingdom of Flaim. Ally and friend to Fahn.
Shiris:A fiery,red-headed swordswoman who joins the heroes later on.
Orson:Shiris' partner, a berserker. Can call on the spirit of anger inside him to make himself a powerful but mindless warrior.
