According to an article published by service Bloomberg the news, Nintendo envisages to join the giant of electronics NEC to design the successor of GameCube whose name remains still unknown and who should leave in 2005 with PlayStation 3 and Xbox 2. NEC will develop the LSI Chips (Broad Scale Integrated Circuits) of the future console. NEC is the second Nipponese manufacturer of semiconductors at the origin in particular of graphic Chip of Dreamcast de Sega, the company also worked on the GameCube project. This partnership between Nintendo and NEC should counter similar alliance between Sony and Toshiba.
