Probably because it gives people a sense of control over things they have no control over


I’m a bit superstitious myself …


I tend to associate clothes with the likelihood of a bad event occurring in my day …
I know it’s irrelevant and quite irrational to think that outfits can influence my life …but I can’t help it …
they trigger negative memories of gloomy incidents …so discarding them is better…
