The physics engine adds even more realism. The popular Havok 2 engine is used in games like Max Payne 2, Deus Ex: Invisible War, and Half-Life 2. Although Havok was not used in Far Cry, both engines are extremely similar and impressive. Pushing bodies off of bridges, watching them float, throwing rocks at people and objects, and just messing around with random objects is extremely entertaining. Another important feature of the Far Cry physics engine is how characters don’t merge with objects or other characters when they fall. Bodies contour to other items instead of passing through them.
