Family and background: Zechs is the prince of SancKingdom. When the Alliance destroyed his homeland, he got separated from his sister Relena and decided to join the Specials, a special mobile suit corps run by OZ and the Alliance, to revenge his father's death. He wore a mask and changed his name to Zechs to hide his identity, though Treize seemed to know it from the start and he became a close friend of this OZ commander. He graduates from Lake Victoria Base along with fellow cadet Lucrezia Noin with the highest and second highest marks in Academy history.
