Step aside, Alone in the Dark. You too, REC:V. There's a new horror title coming to the Dreamcast, and this one focuses on the imaginative rather than the real. Unlike the two titles just mentioned, Evil Twin, developed by In Utero, will take place within the main character's dark imagination, resulting in a game unlike the traditional console horror titles to date.
Cyprien, a young orphan, is the center of this game, and apparently he has an overactive imagination. An evil guy takes advantage of this imagination by creating a world based on it, and capturing all of Cyprien's buddies to populate it. Needless to say, players won't like what young Cyprien has been imagining.
Gameplay in Evil Twin is pure 3D Platformer, so you can expect a lot of jumping, climbing, and puzzle solving while trying to save your kidnapped buddies. Gameplay can be done in first and third person, which isn't common in most platformers, but it'll hopefully fix some of the camera angle issues with most platformers. Also new to the game is the ability of Cyprien to take on the role of his alter-ego SuperCyp, which will allow Cyprien to fly, shoot stuff out of his eyes, and do other assorted super things.
The game sounds and looks pretty cool, and it's good that In Utero included the Dreamcast in developing this game across other platforms.
More Evil Twin information as it becomes available.
