in acadamic writing, there are a section about "how to write a letter". there are many types of letters for many reasons and applications. however, the important types are five. I will start here with one important letter. It is The "letter of Application".
Letter of Application is the name of the letter you send in order to get a job. It is also a "covering letter" for your CV.
I brought this template of it because of its importance for people who want to get a job or an interview for it.

Why you are writing?
Conventional opening stating the purpose of the letter, where and when you saw the vacancy advertised etc.
Paragraph Two:Useful to 'set the scene' for the reader.
Who are you? What are you doing now or have done recently?

- Personal Qualities
- Relevant Experience, Achievements
Use the Job Description and Person Specification to
'Fit Yourself to the Job' - give evidence!
Be positive & imaginative but not arrogant.
Paragraph Four:
What attracts you to the job?
What attracts you to the Company?
Enthusiasm, Motivation, Confidence.
Paragraph Five:
Conventional close - Confirm what you want!
Circumstances / Availability - for interview or meeting? .
