To water plants, for example, you would tilt the controller in a downwards motion, just like you would do if you really were watering plants. Similar motions will be used for other tasks, such as fishing or taking care of your animals. Overall, we can expect some good uses of the innovative control system in this game.

Of course, we're still going to be using those face buttons. By presssing left or right on the d-pad, you will scroll between different items. Likewise, pushing up on the pad will allow you to disable all tools. It's also a safe bet that the A button will be used a lot in the game, for actions such as talking or opening doors.

Famitsu also has a few story details. Harvest Moon Wii takes place on an island that's home to a goddess and a great tree. One day, the tree suddenly goes dry and the goddess disappears. The Koropokuru, a group of helper creatures that should be familiar to anyone who's played Harvest Moon, call upon the player to farm the land, build relationships with other characters and, eventually, revive the tree and bring back the goddess.
