Everyone heard about the famous book by Dan Brown, The Da Vinci Code. The main Characters are: Robert Langdon, Sophia Neveu, Bezu Fache, Silas and Leigh Teabing. The book is full with characters which might have a bigger rule in the story more than the reader may think, however, if I went on I am afraid one of you might come and shoot me... so you better find out by reading the book who is really main character and who is not!
The story starts as Sauniere, Sophia's grand father and the curator of the Louver dies and he shapes his body in a mysterious way, Langdon was called to explain the scene that Sauniere was found in. The story then goes on as Langdon finds out with some help of Sophia that he was the main suspect in this crime, although he has never met the victim in his life… Fache is the main investigator, who believes that Langdon is the one who killed the curator.
creepy eh? The story takes place in Pairs – France … it contain loads of information about the Christianity and if you don't know anything about this religion – like me – I suggest that you read something about it before you start this book.
Brown is a good author no doubt however he – as I noticed in The Da Vinci Code and Angel And Demons – gives too much information that sometimes the book lose it's interest, you wouldn't be able to see the characters of the people… You see in this book, the events goes really fast that you can't really know the personality of Langdon or Sophia, therefore you can't really determine whether you like them or not…. You only saw or read in this case about this person in one situation, dangers, You didn't see the person in other situations, happiness, sadness romance, anger… all the situation even the romance ones are determined by the fact that they are in an unusual dangers situation where a person don't act normally, Another thing about this exact point, the whole things happened really fast… I mean in two days! Honest to God.. two days…
Another point I didn't like about Brown, he gives too much information that it would be sometimes boring. He reminds me with a professor I once had, he talks and talks and never asks whether we got the point or not.. as we set there… pretending to be listening to him , we talk, draw, eat, sleep… do everything except listening to him. However in the exams every questions depend on his boring classes because between the boring lectures about anything but the subject, he gives you an information or two that is really important… Now this is how Brown works, too. He gives you boring facts about the past of samples and paintings and amaze you with the strong power to talk even in the worst situations and think right when you are in grave danger, he sneaks something in all of this that would really matter for the story, so you have to be tricky… and maybe take classes with my professor, you should try and skip the loads of crap and get what is important… unfortunately, you wont be able to tell when you read the book for the first time which parts are important and which is just punch of crap!
If you read the book after all what I said, I hope you like it.
Waiting for your opinions about the book!
