On Tuesday 3rd of march 2003 after finishing a simple test in the subject, we went to the science club which is located in Khaldyia . we left the college and went to the club around 4:30 and arrived there at 5 o`clock .
Dr. Mustafa was waiting for us there. He was one of the members in the science club. All the students gathered in the waiting room and suddenly the sound speakers started working and we heard a voice saying:
Hello everybody, I am Dr. Mustafa, I`m on my way to the club!!! How did that happen?
After that Dr. Mustafa arrived and introduced himself as well as some of the members of the club.
He told us that the club has creative people in all the fields, and they gather to find solutions for some problems and so on..
Then he talked about the inventions they made. In the beginning he talked about the mobile phone and how we can transfer the sound form it to the sound speakers with a simple programming and that what happened in the waiting room.
And among other inventions was the school bell.
The club helped the schools to create a new system for the school bell instead of ringing it manually.
First the created a machine that helps to ring the bell every 45 minutes and once every 30 minutes. But the machine had some defects because it was ringing all day. Then they improved the machine by inserting the data about the time of the ringing and on the right days. And the sold a lot of copies of it.
And one of the other invention was a radio that works without using batteries and the radio receives the power from the radio waves itself and that’s how it works.
And the doctor showed us the mechanism of each invention and he gave us some advises such as
We have to decide the reason for the invention and what is the purpose of it and we have to pick the right time to make the invention. Among the visitors was Mr. Abbas, a teacher in the college . and finally we took some pictures of the club and the inventions and the visit ended at 6:15 and we all went home.
It was a nice visit and we learned a lot from it.
