Social Intelligence and Leadership
# Social and emotional intelligence and how they affect organizations and leaders.
1- What is emotional intelligence?
We can define this terminology as, how we handle ourselves. Are we aware of our feelings and passion? In other words how we manage our emotions. One important part of emotional intelligence is Empathy. It is the recognition if people’s feelings, how they see things and feel things. Using both emotional intelligence and empathy in a proper way we can end with the social intelligence. So, social intelligence is the combination of emotional intelligence and empathy.

2- Are there any leaders who have changed his\her behavior based on social intelligence?
There are many leaders who are CEOs of a well-known companies have been changed very different than what the used to be. Some high executives have been informed that the job is not going well, and the asked to leave the company. Then, when those leaders started to think again and face what they did for the company, they found out that they were not listening to anybody who is trying to give an advice. In fact, this is the main problem for many high executives. Then those leaders tried to improve their social intelligence with people around them. They started to listen and get what people want to say and think about then put this with their own ideas and get the final decision.

3- What is the main difference between the emotional and social intelligence?
The social intelligence came from emotional intelligence. Emotional is how your brain works while you are sad and you will be slow processing what you get. So, it is about your personality only. On the other hand, intelligence is between two persons, how they communicate with each other and how they read each other minds, emotion and feelings.
However, everyone can use this ability to change, monitor and encourage people to be a better person.

4- How to improve your social intelligence ability?
There are two ways to do that:
A- Ask yourself, do I care?
Do I really need to change myself, to be a better person?

B- Get feedback from people around you about yourself.
Let them tell you what your strengths and weaknesses are? Then try to improve those weaknesses. Finally make agreement with yourself that you will do better at every natural opportunity.
