DEATH PENALTY


Hello guys and girls

was just sitting by myself watching tv
there was a movie about criminals which are like raping little kids and kill them after

see the police just catching them,putting them in jail for just few month and then they get out, going back to there evil deeds again

.....and so

well, i have decided to write this topic just to
discuss how about death penalty


guys and girls

iam waiting for everyone in this forum
just to post a reply and say wut s/he thinks
is it good or bad and why????

I'll begin saying my opinion first


My take on the death penalty is like this. Anyone who has deliberately taken the life of another human being except in self-defense must pay with his own life. The reason for my view stems from several perspectives. First of all, anyone who kills is very likely to do so again. I mean if we lock them up for life, what do they have to lose by killing once more? The can't get out anyway. Now imagine that one of your relatives or friends was a prison guard or warden at one of those facilities. Would you want him exposed to that sort of danger. Also, why should we as taxpayers shell out buckletloads of money yearly to be sure these people have 3 meals a day, a roof over their heads, cable television, and warm showers. Putting these people to death would save taxpayers alot of money.

So many people would say "What about the killer's family? What did they do to deserve this hurt of losing someone they love?" I'd answer that just like this. As one have to impose the death penalty it would be difficult seeing as how I am dealing with someone's family. However, at the same time I am not really the one choosing to hurt the killer's family. I mean after all, I didn't decide to kill an innocent person for no reason, the killer did. The killer knew the possible consequences of his actions and therefore completely disregarded his family's feeling by doing it anyway. therefore the killer brought that on himself.

My next point is that imposing the death penalty does not make us murderers. The killer who choose to end someone else's life made a decision at that point in time that his life was also over if he got caught. He got and so, he decided his life was over.

Now, my last point that I'll touch is the possibility of innocent. The courts say that beyond reasonable doubt does not mean beyond all doubt because anything is possible. Therefore, for the guilty verdict I must only be sure of doubt beyond reasonable doubt. However, I feel that if there is even a smidgen of doubt in my mind no matter how unlikely, I may convict the person, but i will not vote in favor of the death penalty. Only if I were absolutely hundred percent certain, would I vote in favor of the death penalty.

well u see, if u refuse the killer to end somebody's life, how do u accept on urself to condamn the killer's life... in other words, WHAT COMES AROUND, GOES AROUND, and that is true but it cant be applicable in ur point of view... when u refuse that someone stop a human life u should refuse that u stop other people life.

my second point is that if u r in knowldege of islam (or other religions) u would know that when a thief steal, his hand should be cutted off, but when someone make a crime or a thin we should get away from such a person... beside, we were not created on earth so tha we play the role of GOD (معاز الله) so it;s God's job to determine the consequence of criminals....

i dont know if i could properly delivered the message, but if we want criminals or thiefs or whatever to do what they do ther's zillions of solutions (prison, good education....)

Ummmmmmmm, What would well education do good for a murderer? That if you don't think it's too late for such a person to gain morals, behavior, principles and concsience? And why bother and keep him in prison? I don't think he'll regret what he has done and never do it again, he might plan for years and get out get his revenge instead

I don't really want to get into this; I agree that Allah will punish every criminal, but still we can't leave criminals walking around our countries violating rules and rights

basicly what duke was saying is:
we cant ask a killer to stop killing when we our self kill men for killing and we should leave the punishment to god/allah

but in my point of view which is also islams point of view who killed she be killed an eye for an eye

this punishment was not chosen for nught but to make any one who considers killing think twice about it

not really, the murderer is a human being before he is a murderer there's some reasons for making him what he is today.



my last point is that if we really want to save our community from such persons we should treat the roots of the problem, not the problem itself.... that's what we should all do in our life... TREAT THE ROOTS OF THE PROB NOT THE PROBLEM ITSLEF because these murderers will keep on doing what they do if we condammed 10killers or even a miollion....i hope that no one get mad from me but its just a point of view, no need to get upset if we had different point of views...

Killing someone for killing is different from killing people for other personal reasons

I know well education has its role, but I was talking about it after murders have been comitted

not really, the murderer is a human being before he is a murderer there's some reasons for making him what he is today.

I also agree. However, murderers shouldn't be treated as other human beings since they have comitted crimes

I also agree with your last point, but sometimes roots can't be treated, or too late to be treated with some, so that forces us to deal with it in another manner

The reason might not be stupid, but it is still wrong to kill

When a person gets his 7ad in life he doesn't get punished for it again on the day of judgment

look, if someone steal from u and u shot him then so so so stupid reason

all i can say if someone steals from me

MAY GOD FORGIVE HIM

other reasons like, i killed someone who killed a person in my family, like my brother, siter, mom, dad or cousin

then its also a stupid reason to kill him

cause if i kill him i know wuts gonna happen to me next
so i just leave it for government after GOD

or any other reasns u think of is also so stupid i cant find a good reason to kill somebody
another reason, have u ever heard about life insurance? it like paying every month for an insurance company, like if u have a family u pay money every month for the company, that if anyone in ur family has died or got murdered, then will obviously the company will pay u a lot of money for him

now here, iam living in South Africa

iam reading in news paper every day

it says about that wife who killed her husband by putting some broken glasses in the bread, and putting poison in the food, so she can get the insurance momney when he is dead

now wut a hell do u think of that reason of killing????????????

I guess Islam solves the problem..Just apply the rules of isla in every situation and if it is said in the Quran or Sunnah that this specific crime's penalty is death then the person should be executed
